MYrug is a design inspired by a mandala, created by British designer Michael Young. Michael Young is an industrial designer and creative director based in Hong Kong. He works in the fields of product, furniture, and interior design with studios in Hong Kong and Brussels. He is known for his unconventional use of materials and production processes, which has earned him numerous design awards.
MYrug is a 100% wool design rug with a pile length ranging from 10 to as much as 120 mm. The center of the rug features a short loop pile with a cut pattern, gradually rising in height towards the edges, which have 120mm shaggy fringes. The detailing in the rug is inspired by Tibetan prayer wheels. MYrug comes in three shapes: a circle, a square, and a rectangle with rounded corners.
