Hannes Wettstein
Hannes Wettstein was one of Switzerland’s most innovative designers. Born in 1958, he trained as a structural draughtsman and later as a designer and architect. Fascinated by technology, art history, and architecture, he questioned social, industrial, and cultural norms to discover the new. His work blended technology and design, resulting from years of research on ideas and materials. His style, pure and functional, featured modern, elegant lines, creating timeless objects and spaces for daily use that defy changing trends. In 1991, he founded Studio Hannes Wettstein, which continues to embody his vision today.
